Our routing number transition is continuing on pace-this is an update to keep everyone aware of the progress.

We continue to notify companies who are still sending electronic transactions through the system using the old routing number asking them to migrate to the new one.  We are also changing the printed routing number on all customers' checks as new check orders are placed.  Please be reminded, the change of the printed routing number will happen automatically only if orders are placed through the bank.  If any customers are currently ordering checks through companies outside of the bank, you will need to ask them to change the routing number on the bottom of your checks.  The routing number we will be using going forward is 075906032.  You will want to have your new checks in place before the August transition.

Our current plan is to have the old number retired by the end of August, 2010.  After that time, any item attempting to post through the Federal Reserve or ACH systems will be rejected back to the depositing or originating bank, as that number simply will no longer be valid.

As we near the deadline:

         1.  You may want to double-check on any companies with whom you have automatic deductions or deposits, such as your insurance companies, telephone, electric, etc., to be sure they are using the correct number going forward.

         2.  When making web, online or telephone payments, be sure to use the 075906032 as the bank routing number, even if that is not the number printed on your checks, yet.

         3.  There are some governmental agencies, such as USDA, etc., that make yearly direct deposits to their clients' accounts.  If this applies to you, be aware that they may not yet have been notified.  Be sure to check with your local office to ensure that they have the correct information.

         4.  State and Federal tax agencies do not normally make changes when notified by us, even though we do send all correction notices to them.  If you or your tax preparer file your taxes electronically, you will need to ensure next year that everyone has the correct routing number on file.  State and Federal agencies will most likely NOT have made the change, and most tax software retains your previous information.  This will prevent serious delays in receipt of tax refunds.

         5.  We will still be able to negotiate any checks with the old routing number within the bank.  You can use them to make loan payments in the bank, perform in-bank transfers or get cash at the drive-up or teller windows.

Please do not hesitate to call the bank with questions.
